Silver Lady

I was out late last night
I met a lady in a silver coat at the crossroads on the way home.

When I woke in the morning there was a squirrel in my bed.

Human Pace

Before dawn, before the mail arrived and my heart was broken
A container load of Lady Snails
Were washed to the shores in Wemyss Bay
Each varnished in an array of vibrant colours
Pinks, purples, oranges and sequin red
Their lashes fluttered in the spray
No, doubt giggles could be heard up on the Brae
Lounging on pebbles with a come what may
Playing cards, learning English
Saying "love you" to the old man walking his stray
They tenderly brushed, Drank tea in a peacock display
paddled in the rock pools, discussing a favourite lay
I followed their silver trail when night followed day
Up to Sauchiehall Street where the big boys play

Some time ago I wrote this short story about love, betrayal and money:

BALLS

She looked up from her empty purse

Oh Trevor
I still have faith in you
But this testicular cancer

Is it true?

A Quick Snipet

Ever swam for attention when the tide was out

Ever asked for quiet then wanted to shout

Ever said for sure then been racked with doubt

Ever said forever and then walked out
